For everyone
Accessibility
Effective October 15, 2026 · Chimes In LLC, Florida
We want everyone to be able to follow the news on Relay. Our goal is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What’s built in
- Word-timed captions on newscasts (the CC button), and full transcripts for every show.
- Downloadable caption files for each newscast.
- Every story in a newscast is also available as text, with links to the original reporting.
- Keyboard access to the player and all controls; visible focus outlines.
- Reduced motion: animations calm down when your device asks for it.
- Light and dark themes that follow your device settings.
- A large-caption TV view at 247relay.com/tv.
Known gaps
Some live on-screen graphics are not yet announced to screen readers; the same information is in the transcript and story pages. Weather and market charts on screen have text equivalents in the transcript. We're working on both.
